Most recently, I served as Curator at RBC, working with the RBC Corporate Art Collection of more than 6,000 artworks across Canada, the United States and internationally. My work encompassed acquisitions, collection strategy, curatorial programming, collection stewardship, artist relationships, executive and client engagement, commissions, education, and the integration of art within corporate real estate and public-facing spaces.
My previous experience includes serving as Project Director of Feature Contemporary Art Fair, Director at Hamilton Artists Inc., Assistant Curator for the Sobey Art Award, and Project Manager for major public artworks. I have also volunteered with numerous organizations, including Swim Drink Fish, the Audain Art Museum, the Canadian Art Foundation, Capture Photography Festival, Casey House, C Magazine, and the Glenfiddich Artist Residency. Across this diverse experience, my work has remained focused on the intersection of artists, institutions, collectors, corporate partners, and public audiences — developing exhibitions, commissions, digital projects, collection strategies, programs, and events that move between curatorial thinking and practical delivery.
I hold an MFA in Critical & Curatorial Practice from OCAD University and a BFA in Interdisciplinary Fine Arts from NSCAD University.
I approach advisory and project work as an extension of curatorial practice: looking closely, asking incisive questions, understanding context, and creating structures that allow collections, artworks, and cultural projects to develop and thrive in response to the particular needs of each individual or organization.
ORRI works with individuals, families, corporations, artists, institutions and not-for-profit organizations across Canada and internationally.
